Does size really matter? Well everyone liks to show off that big trophy trout in a photo or have it wall mounted. Anglers will often relate stories about that big brown trout that shook off the hook or dove to the bottom wrapping the line around a log. That makes for interesting talk around the fireplace in the winter, but does it really matter.
Due to a successful brook trout restoration program, for the first time in 30 years, anglers are now able to fish for brook trout in park streams. To learn more about this program I inteviewed Steve Moore. a biologist, for The Great Smoky Mountains Park.

While looking for information on the Palomino Trout and the Donaldson Trout, I came across the Tiger Trout which is a hybrid cross between a Brook Trout and a Brown Trout. This is possible because they both spawn in the fall of the year.

David Knapp of The Trout Zone had a blog about "Chasing Lunkers" of Palomino Trout in the Cherokee Tribal fishing waters in Cherokee NC. I had never heard of Palomino Trout so I asked him about them and then I looked them up in Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission and here is a reprint from that site:
The tiger trout is a hatchery-produced hybrid. It is a cross between a male Brown Trout and a female Brook Trout. They have a yellowish orange belly and have the stripes of a tiger, and hence, the name. They have a vigorous appetite and like to prey on smaller fish found in shallow waters; and this has made them a favorite among anglers.
I was watching My Outdoor TV toady when I found an interesting video named "Trout Don't Have Eyelids" by Scott Linden. He explains why trout remain out of the sun light; and where they are likely to be found. In my experience, this is especially indicative of Brown Trout. This is a good free video to check out and well worth the short Ford truck commercial you will have to wait out.
