November Fishing in the Great Smoky Mountains Park

It is raining here in Charlotte, NC today with the accumulation of rain to be 2 inches or more, so I sit at my computer trying to reminisce about the good times in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. In particular, I remember about fishing in the Walker Camp Prong and the Oconaluftee near Gatlinburg in early November while the ladies did some Christmas shopping.  

Triploid Trout

Triploid rainbow trout are named triploid because they possess three sets of chromosomes which render them sterile. The triploidy process involves the heating of eggs at 26 to 27 degrees C for 20 minutes at 20 minutes after fertilization.
