I went to the local gas station this morning as usual for my morning cup of coffee and I was surprised to see a man dressed for trout fishing. He had a good pair of waders belted at the middle, and a good pair of boots with felt soles. He even had a camo cap on his head. However, it was a little strange to see his wife in the passenger seat holding a dog and she was not dressed for fishing. I usually do not see a passenger who is not dressed for fishing and especially I do not see dogs with anglers. By the way, I did not mean to profile him! However, I since I feel that I share a relationship with other anglers, I went over to him to ask about his fishing plans and to wish him good luck. He told me that far from it, he was going searching for gold and that within 20 miles of Charlotte, NC, he could show me streams with gold in them. Astounded, I said good bye and good luck. It just might be a good idea to combine gold prospecting with trout fishing. NOT! P.S. I did give him my troutprostore.com card in case he changes his mind and wants to pursue golden trout.
