This morning I was reading "Instant Classic at the Underground" which was reported in the Trout Zone blog. This is a story about brown trout falling from the sky, origionally reported in the the Trout Underground blog. Well, it is true! A brown trout actually did fall from the sky and he has pictures to prove it.
But, it did remind me of the time that a small bass about 9" long fell from the "sky" and landed in my canoe while I was fishing in a small pond. For reasons unknown to me, perhaps he wanted to commit suicide, and I am always looking for those bass, he jumped high in the air and landed in the canoe right at my feet. After recovering from the initital shock, I helped the little guy right back in the water and he did not make another attempt to commit suicide as far as I know.
The funny thing about this is that on the previous Sunday, our preacher told about a bass jumping into his boat. I hated to not believe anything that a preacher said, but I was very very skeptical, until it happened to me.
