Our little brown trout Mecca is destined for another top notch spring Season. The river is estimated to hold 5000 fish per mile and with pods of world class sized brown trout mixed in. Last year we were able to land over two dozen fish 25 inches or bigger, with a many of those weighing in at over 10 pounds.
March: The BWO dry fly activity will remain good through the entire month. Float trips drifting nymph rigs, chucking streamers, and chasing risers is your best bet.
April: The TVA will begin to turn off the generation meaning low water and sulfur hatches. Blonde caddis, blue wings, slates, and midges will also come off this month. Buggy Month!
May: The fish will start stacking in the flats as the month progresses. Expect good to stellar sulfur hatches early May. Great time to sight fish the flats for big migrating lake run brown trout.
