My good friend Colby Trow at Mossy Creek Fly Fishing in Harrisonburg, Virginia has sent me his newsletter announcing his Open House to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of his store opening.
This will be held on April 6th in 2013 and his featured guest will be the legendary Gary Borger. Gary is indeed one of the world's foremost fly fishing educators. He has earned a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he is Professor Emeritus. Also, his achievements have been recognized in The Millennium Edition of Strathmore’s Who’s Who,” “Who’s Who in the Midwest,” and “Who’s Who in Science and Engineering,” just to name a few of his accolades.
He has been an active fly fisherman since 1955, and since 1972 he has taught classes and lectured internationally about fly fishing for trout and salmon. Currently, he is a free-lance writer and an active member of the Outdoor Writer’s Association of America and a Contributing Editor for Fly Fisherman Magazine. Among his many achievements, Gary is also a photographer and a committed Christian who writes a blog called Jacob's Well. In this blog you can learn about Christ and see his love for Christ.
Gary's achievements are far too numerous to include here but you will definitely find his BIO of great interest.
